Come on up to Arlington Heights and visit Rooted NW – a cohousing community and agrivillage dedicated to preserving endangered farmland and fostering support of small family farmers. By purchasing one of our green homes, residents actively contribute to sustainable farming practices and the success of working farmers.

In collaboration with county agricultural officials, Rooted NW serves as a living lab for regenerative, hyper-local methods, building resilience in our bioregion amidst climate change. With 12 farms producing food, medicine, and crafts, Rooted NW is embracing innovation and education in sustainable living and agriculture. Visitors can explore the farms, learn about future plans for the homes and farming infrastructure, discover sociocracy as a governance model, and experience the community’s emphasis on kindness and care. Together, we nurture the land, support each other and our farmers, strengthen connections, and combat the loneliness epidemic of modern times.

Please dress for outdoor conditions, wear sturdy shoes, and leave pets in your vehicle (some shade should be available). In case of rainy weather we will have complimentary coffee and hot tea. Our community of Arlington Heights is approximately 1 hour from Seattle, just east of Highway 9.

    Guided Farm Tours: 11:30AM, 3:00PM

Hybrid Information Session Online and In-Person:
1:00PM Learn how we are future-proofing our lives. Broadcast from the “Early Common House” – A 100 year old barn

Some of our farmers will have their early-season products for sale, including our 2025 CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) subscription information. A way to get the farm- freshest produce for your home. If you want to bring
something back home with you, cash is always appreciated.
